Wish List Wednesday #2: Sunday Riley Skincare

Hi loves, if you read my first Wish List Wednesday post last week, I have decided to share with you a few special products that catch my attention every now and then. For the longest time now I have been eyeing up Sunday Riley Skincare, I’ve heard amazing things about their range and have been so intrigued to try it out. I am ‘sort of’ happy with the condition of my skin right now, but any improvement is always welcome. I am quite conscious that I have reached my mid 20’s now, I’m starting to take skin care a little more seriously as I know the investment now will pay off in later years.

So if I haven’t harped on about it enough yet, I am getting married this December (more on that coming soon, so keep an eye out!). As with any bride, I want to look my absolute best for my wedding, it will be the most memorable day of my life thus far. So I am thinking about investing in some Sunday Riley skin care, as it seems to work really well for 90% of people who have tried it. I have my eyes on their skin oils, two in fact. I have heard amazing things about Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil, which helps reduce the sign of ageing as you sleep and also helps correct signs of skin damage and every day exposure. Everyone says positive things about this oil, despite what kind of skin type they have, and I feel like my dry skin would lap it up. I think it has retinols in it, which scares me slightly as my skin hasn’t been exposed to it but I know it works wonders on people so I am keen to give it a go. It isn’t cheap at £85 for 30ml but I feel like it may be worth it. You can pick it up here.

The second item on my wish list from the Sunday Riley skincare range is another oil, it is the Sunday Riley Flora Hydroactive Cellular Face Oil. This is an oil which is supposed to boost the radiance in your face, which I really need. My skin like I mentioned is dry and it becomes lacklustre so a boost of radiance sounds heavenly. The product mentions that is quenches thirsty skin, which is a great way to describe my skin so it definitely has been on my radar for a while now. I’m not sure why I haven’t taken the plunge and bought it yet, as I am tempted to straight after I finish this post! It retails slightly cheaper at £70 for 30ml and I feel like it will last a while. I would personally use this in the morning. You can pick it up here.

My third and final product is one I discovered quite recently actually. As I’ve heard so many good things about the oil I was wondering if they had any good moisturisers. So I did a little research and came across the Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream. The product contains Papaya enzymes which gently resurface the skin, eliminating dulling dead cells to reveal the more luminous skin underneath. How good does that sound? I’ve had really good experiences with gel creams, mainly Elemis Marine cream, so I have high hopes for this version. This cream is aimed at dry and dehydrated skin types which describes my skin perfectly. This retail for £60 for 50g, which would last me almost 3 months. Not cheap, but potentially life changing. You can pick it up here.

I hope you liked a second peek at my wish list, I think I might just pop over now to Cult Beauty and pick up some of the Sunday Riley skincare. Let me know if any of their products have been on your radar! I shall speak to you soon, Tanzina x

And ooh, if you haven’t seen my latest YouTube you can catch it below. It’s a haul video!

Wish List Wednesday #1 : Sleek Cleopatra’s Kiss Highlighter

I have such a long wish list, it’s longer than my leg and arm combined. I thought I would share some of the things that have caught my attention recently, so that you can join me in the super long wish list gang. I’ll try to make Wish List Wednesday’s a reoccurring feature, hopefully it is one I manage to stick to!

Sleek Cleopatra's Kiss Highlighter

So I have spied a highlighting palette that I predict is going to always be sold out. When I saw it, I did a mini shriek as I know this is a palette I won’t feel super guilty about buying due to it’s price tag and it is going to be amazing. Let me introduce you to the Sleek Cleopatra’s Kiss. When I think Cleopatra, I think drama and I think gold. This palette could not be better named as it is just that.

Sleek’s first highlighting palette, Solstice, proved to be so popular that it was always sold out at most Superdrug stores I visited. Although it was definitely on my wish list, what stopped me from hunting it down was the pink tones in it, I need something more warm and gold for my skin tone. Sleek Cleopatra’s Kiss feels like it was made for me specifically, it is everything I want. It has gold tones, rose gold tones, powder AND cream highlight, and it is under £10. What more could a girl want. I’ll be picking up two of these, one for me and one for my makeup kit.

Sleek Cleopatra's Kiss Highlighter

This launches today, you can pick it up for £9.99 from Boots and Superdrug.

Let me know if you have something special on your wish list, maybe I’ll make my list longer! I’m so excited for the launch of this Sleek Cleopatra’s Kiss highlighting palette and can’t wait to do a review on it for you guys. Speak soon, Tanzina x

Cult Beauty Wish List + Becca Champagne Pop

For the longest time, I have had lots of products on my wish list from Cult Beauty and although I pick up the odd beauty buy here and there, it has been a while since I got everything I wanted in one go. However, a few days ago I heard the amazing news that the Becca Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop highlighter was heading to the UK, and it was going to be stocked in none other than Cult Beauty! I decided I needed to let you know about the release and also share a few beauty bits I have my eye on. Without much further ado, here is my Cult Beauty wish list.

Cult Beauty Wish List

Champagne Pop UK

So of course, the very first thing I will have to pick up is the Becca Champagne Pop, this has been on my radar for the longest time as it has been so hyped in the beauty world, it would be a crime if it didn’t find its way to me. I have been informed that it will be released on Cult Beauty on the 17th of December so I already have my alarm set to make sure I don’t miss out. I believe this will retail for £30 so if you and a friend pick up one each, it will be enough to qualify for free P&P from Cult Beauty. That is always an attractive offer!

Huda Lashes UK

For the longest time I have coveted Huda Beauty lashes, however with them being so hard to get hold of in the UK, I haven’t really had the chance to bring them home to me. I could of course have picked them up from various offshore websites but the cost of shipping and then tax has scared me off. However Cult Beauty now stock them, and I have eyes on the Samantha style. These are definitely on the pricey side for lashes, going at £15.50 a pop, but I am too curious to not pick up a pair. I am sure I will get a lot of use out of these, I’ve had some lashes for a couple of years now!

Cult Beauty Wish List

If you’ve read this blog for even a short while, you are probably sick and tired of me raving about Anastasia Beverly Hills so I will try to keep this section short and sweet. As you know I love Anastasia products and only use her brand for my brows. I have run out of the Brow Wiz and almost the Clear Brow Gel, so they need to go on my wish list as I definitely need a restock. The brow gel is the best one I have tried and the Brow Wiz is perfect for the natural look. The Brow Wiz retails for £15.50 and the Brow Gel retails for £16.50.

Cult Beauty Wish List

Okay I promise this is the last time I will mention Anastasia. I have wanted to pick up some of her liquid lipsticks for a long time now however again just like with the Huda lashes, the tax and shipping charges have prevented me from picking them up. However I have heard quite a few good things about the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lips, and Cult stock quite a few shades that have caught my attention. These retail for £15.00 and I think I have to add them to my Cult Beauty wish list just to see how good they really are – simply for research purposes of course.

Cult Beauty Wish List

Last, but definitely not least, is a perfume that has been on my radar for YEARS. I kid you not, I have been wanting to try this for the longest time, but if you see my ridiculous perfume collection you would understand why I haven’t picked it up just yet. I have way too much perfume, I was gifted perfumes for my birthday in January that I still haven’t opened! However, there was a huge hype around Escentric Molecules, which is a perfume that alters on every person due to your body’s pheromones. The whole concept really captures my attention, and I will just have to try it out eventually to satisfy my curiosity. I might not pick it up this year, but it is definitely on my radar. I think I would probably start with Molecule 01 before I try any of the others. You can pick up a refill 30ml size here for £27.00.

I hope you liked my Cult Beauty wish list, as expected it is brimming with makeup products, I think once I’ve ticked off these goodies I will start looking at the skin and body care selection as Cult do stock some really good brands such as Therapie and Sunday Riley. Let me know what is on your wish list, and if there is anything I should add to mine. I can’t wait for the Champagne Pop launch! Tanzina x

My Beauty Wishlist

I haven’t done a wish list post for a while, so thought I would pen one today so that I could document my current lust list. If you gave me enough time, I am sure I could type up a 20+ product strong wish list but I thought I would be mean and limit myself to only 5 products. My list is mostly makeup (surprise surprise) but a skin care item did manage to squeeze its way in.

beauty wish list

  1. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal– I have been wanting this pressed powder highlighter for quite some time as it has earned a cult status amongst the US bloggers however it has taken its time trickling into the UK. I have put off buying it because I really wanted to swatch it and also the concept of buying from US website and waiting lengthy shipping times put me off. However it is now in Space NK so I believe I will be crossing this off my list soon. It seems to really compliment warmer skin tones and with my Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Sandstone being discontinued I really need to find a new highlighter love. This retails at Space NK for £30.00 (it is currently out of stock, if it stays out of stock for long I will bite the bullet and pick it up from Sephora online!)
  2. Red Liquid Lipstick/Lipstain – This is a tricky one because it isn’t one particular product but what I am essentially looking for is a very good dupe of Limecrime Velvetine in Red Velvet. In a nutshell, Limecrime as a brand hasn’t been treating its customers very well and I no longer want to support it. I really enjoyed their Velvetine but as I don’t want to promote it anymore I need to find an alternative. I have my eye on Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lips in American Doll which may just replace it. You can’t get this in the UK just yet but I am contemplating picking it up directly from the US website where it retails for $20.00. (Again currently out of stock, why is everything I want out of stock *angry face*)beauty wishlist
  3. Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘Artist Palette’ – Talking about Anastasia Beverly Hills, I really want to pick up her latest palette release. The Artist palette is being released on Wednesday 15th April 2015 as a summer palette and as I have really enjoyed using the Amrezy and Tamanna palette I want to add this to my collection. I have been getting a lot of use out of the palettes I do have so I know that this would be worth investing in. I haven’t bought any single pan shadows from Anastasia yet, and I think this is a very good way of trialling out shades before purchasing the full size colours. I love the brightness of this palette and how it has neutral shades and I think I will be purchasing this around its release date. I just hope the website doesn’t crash like it tends to do when new products are released! It will retail for around $30.00
  4. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer – I spent the past Saturday at UMAe (United Makeup Artist Expo) where I met the lovely David Horne, the mastermind behind House of Glamdolls. He was such a lovely person to speak to, a very talented man who spent many years at MAC and Illamasqua. He was actually the brains behind the cult Skin Base foundation. He recommended the NARS concealer to me and as it has been on my radar for a few years, that conversation cemented the product into my wish list. As I have so many concealers already, this will probably be the last product from the list I pick up however I do think it’ll find its way into my makeup bag eventually. This retails for £22.00
  5. Clarins Gentle Refining Exfoliating Cream Finally a skin care item after all that makeup! This is a product that I have had on my ‘must purchase’ list for quite a while now but with so much skin care stashed up, I really want to finish some bits before I buy more. I tried a trial version of this from a set my lovely friend Yasmin gave to me and I fell in love with it. It says it is a gentle exfoliator but it feels like it really gets to work on my skin, and exfoliates it thoroughly. If I clear out a few more skin care items, this product will be finding its way home to me.

Looking at this list of products, I am pretty confident that I will be picking up most of it sometime throughout the year (if it is ever in stock!). It will be quite interesting to come back and review just how much of this I actually managed to pick up. I have done another wish list in the past (here), I think one of these days I will go through it and see just how much I ticked off. I hope you enjoyed this post, I love reading wish list posts because I am nosey and want to see what people are lusting over so I hope you liked having a nosey over my current wants.
