Wishlist Wednesday #6: Kat Von D & Too Faced

Hi loves, I’m back again with a Wish List Wednesday. I thought it was another one of my series that just turns to dust, but hey it is still going. Today’s wish list is a bit of different one, it is actually me wishing for something that I technically have. I am of course talking about two amazing products, Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara.

So I actually managed to get hold of the mini versions of both products. How good are mini products, it is such a great way of trying out products without committing to the full size versions just in case you hate them. Too Faced and Kat Von D did a collaboration, and I pretty much squealed when I heard about it. I’m going to whiz through both products and tell you why I love them and why they are firmly on my wish list.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

I am not a fan of eyeliner pens, I feel like they run out too quickly or don’t distribute the liner even and sometimes the nib gets all bobbly and ruined. This however is unlike anything I have ever used, it has a brush tip meaning it distributes the liner evenly and the brush doesn’t get ruined. The tip is SO fine, and so easy to work with. It’s made me fall back in love with liquid eyeliner. I’ve been using this mini version for quite a while now and it shows no sign of giving up. It is so precise, have I said that already? It’s just that I’ve never been able to get such a thin line in my inner corner before. I will 100% be picking up a full size version FOR SURE. This retails for £16.00 and you can pick it up [here].

Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara

I don’t know what took me so long to try the original version of this mascara (I’ve used the waterproof version before) because clearly I was missing out. This makes my lashes STAND OUT. Like you cannot miss my lashes, it makes them more defined and thicker looking too. It took me a while to get the hang of using this mascara, intially it does deposit a lot of product which is annoying, but I quickly learned to wipe it down on the mouth of the tube and it was just perfect. I am assuming as it gets drier, and you use up the product, you won’t need to do this anymore. Regardless I need the full size in my life. This retails for £19.00 and you can pick it up [here].

If like me you’d like to sample the products first before you go and purchase the full size, find the Kat Von D x Too Faced mini kit [here] for £18.00!

That’s it for my Wednesday Wishlist. I found that most products I mention on these posts, I tend to pick up. I should do a post sometime in the future labelled Wishlist Purchases just so you know which one makes the grade. Do you have a favourite liquid liner or mascara? If so, I’d love to know more. Wednesday Wish List #6: Beauty Wish List

Hi loves, sorry about being a little missing in action, I am actually staying with my parents this week and am too busy enjoying home comforts! That combined with a new gym routine, finding time for picture editing and putting together posts has been a little difficult. But I am back today to share with you a bunch of beauty bits I can’t take my eye off. Here is my current beauty wish list, don’t be surprised if some of them make an appearance on a blog post soon. I also do not take any responsibility if your personal wish list grows after reading mine.

GlamGlow Face Masks

I’ve really been craving face masks for my collection recently, I realised recently that I don’t actually have many masks and really hampers my pamper routine plans. What is a pamper routine without a good face mask?! GlamGlow have become cult, they really exploded over beauty social channels a few years ago, and shockingly I am yet to try something from the range. As you may already know, I have dry lacklustre skin, so I have my eye on THIRSTYMUD (a hydrating treatment) and FLASHMUD (a brightening treatment). I also am intrigued by GRAVITYMUD – which is a silver firming peel off mud. Currently there is a limited edition blue version of it which looks like so much fun. However these really don’t come cheap, priced at £39.00 each and they aren’t the largest pots at 50g each. Still, I am ridiculously tempted.

Body Shop Face Masks

Like I mentioned, there is a hole in my collection where face masks usually slot in so I have been exploring the market. The Body Shop ones are also making waves through social channels are priced a lot better at £16 each. Bodyshop usually offers running however unfortunately, they don’t work on these products. I really like the sound of the Body Shop Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask and the Body Shop Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask. I’ll let you know if I pick these up, maybe I could do a pamper routine on my YouTube channel?

Lime Crime Girls Girls Girls set

I love liquid lipsticks, that is a fact. Actually I have so many new ones I am yet to try out in my collection, I don’t even know why I have liquid lipsticks on my wish list but I guess I just do! I love Lime Crime Velvetines, they were at the forefront of liquid lipstick creation and I have been using them for years. I have got my eyes on the Girls, Girls, Girls set, 5 gorgeous shades for £61.34 – yes please! I like ordering from Lime Crime as sometimes they have free worldwide shipping AND taxes are paid for so hurray, no horrible custom charges! I’ve got my eye on this set, maybe it’ll be mine next time free worldwide delivery rolls round.

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow

Phew, that is a mouthful! This is Stila’s latest offering and boy, do I want it! Mess free beautiful glittery eyes, sounds right up my street. Now these bad boys come in quite a few shades, I’ve got my eye on Smoky Storm (Light Pewter & Silver), Kitten Karma (Champagne, Silver & Copper), Smouldering Satin (Deep Tan & Silver) and Rose Gold Retro (Rose Gold & Silver). These aren’t cheap, they’re priced at £23.00 so all 4 would set me back £92! Bet it would be worth it though.

L’Oreal Paris False Lash Sculpt Mascara

Shock, a drugstore/high street offering on my wishlist. Nowadays, it feels like I hardly ever am captivated by anything from the high street, but there is something about the L’Oreal Paris False Lash Sculpt Mascara’s wand that has me interested. It’s so bizarre yet so loved by so many people. Think I will pick up when I next visit Boots. I still think it is pricey for high street at £9.99, but I guess nowadays that is the usual price now for mascaras.

Cover FX Highlighting Drops

So highlighting isn’t going away any time soon, and I for one am so happy about that. I’ve been wanting to try these magic drops from Cover FX for a while now, they seem to take highlight to the next level, but I haven’t gotten round to splurging quite yet. I’m not sure what shade I want yet, but I do know that they are £34 each. I think I want the shade Sunlight actually as it seems like it would suit me best.

Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

If you caught my skin care routine, (if you haven’t, see it here or click play below [shameless plug]), then you’d know I am on the search for a new eye cream. I’m looking for something rich, and hydrating. I’ve got my eye on this Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado, as it seems to tick all the boxes and comes with rave reviews. This starts at £20, and will hopefully be mine really soon. I am almost done with my current facial oil, moisturiser and eye cream, so it is time to start trialling new products.

That is it for my wish list, fair to say there is quite a bit I have my eye on and quite a bit of money to spend! Nevertheless I am sure somehow I will ‘accidentally’ work my way through the list. I think face masks are first on my list so I may pick up one from Glamglow and one from Bodyshop to start with. Let me know what is on your beauty wish list and what you are craving. Wishlist Wednesday #5 : Beauty Bakerie Lip Whip

Hi loves, welcome back to Wishlist Wednesday. Okay so today’s products may be cheating the system a little bit, does it still count as a wishlist product if I have already placed and order and the product is now on it’s way to me? But honestly guys researching Beauty Bakerie Lip Whip for this blog post got me craving them so much, that I kind of just had to place an order.

So today we are going to talk about Beauty Bakerie Lip Whips, they’ve only recently sparked my interest after my friend Safiyah over at Safiyah Tasneem told me that they were her favourite liquid lipsticks. She says they really don’t budge and I think that was enough for me to want them. I’ve never purchased anything from Beauty Bakerie before, so I am really interested in trying something from the brand and seeing for myself if they are worth it.

There are a few shades that have caught my attention, Mon Cheri – which looks like a gorgeous classic red. Unfortunately it seemed like it is not only me who was after this, when I first searched for it, it was sold out on Cult Beauty – however I have just checked today and it is back in stock! If you want it, grab it, because I bet it will sell out. Next we have Syruptitious which looks like a pinky brown that would be right up my street. We also have Gingersnap which looks like a burnt orange brown, unlike anything I have in my collection so I want to see how this looks on me. Finally we have Fortune Cookie, I am in two minds about this. It looks like a brown/grey toned nude which MAY suit me but may be too light. I’m finding it hard to make my mind up about this one.

One thing I will say is, do not choose a colour by looking just at the pictures on the Cult Beauty website, because I think some of them are not true to colour and the shades look different in real life. So I’d suggest checking out Beauty Bakerie’s official website and then coming back and purchasing from Cult Beauty because nobody wants to pay ridiculous custom charges and shipping fees! Also check out their Instagram @beautybakeriemakeup.

These retail for £16 each, I don’t actually know if I think this is too expensive or just okay, considering we pay £15.50 for MAC lipsticks. I don’t think they’re extortionate and if they live up to their reputation, it’ll be worth every pretty penny. You can pick Beauty Bakerie Lip Whips up [here].

I’d love to know if you’ve picked up any Beauty Bakerie Lip Whip and if so what shades? Let me know what is on your wish list, if there are any products I should keep my eye on. I’ll definitely make sure I keep you up to date when my Beauty Bakerie haul comes in. Speak soon, Tanzina x

Wishlist Wednesday #4: ZOEVA Brush Set

Hello again. At this rate, it feels like we seem to talk on these Wishlist Wednesday posts, but with how topsy turvy my life has been recently, I am not actually surprised. So what item am I lusting after this week? If you’ve been a bit Sherlock Holmes-ey today, you would’ve read the title and seen the picture below and know already that I am really hankering for a Zoeva Brush Set to join my ever growing collection of makeup brushes.

If you were to ask me which Zoeva brush set would you actually like, unfortunately I couldn’t give you an answer unless ‘all of them’ is an acceptable response. But the truth is, they do all look pretty amazing. I’ve got a couple of Zoeva brushes in my collection, and I genuinely use them every single day. I have 228 Luxe Crease which is the most amazing shadow blending brush which I use every time I apply eyeshadow. I also have the 142 Concealer Buffer which is a MUST for blending in my under eye concealer. Last but not least, I have the 110 Face Shape which is pretty special, I always use it with cream face products such as cream highlighters and blushes.

The matter of fact is, I want a Zoeva brush set, so this item too will find it’s place on my wish list. I think if I had to, had to choose, although I couldn’t pinpoint a particular set, I think I would go for the Rose Gold variety as they look just stunning and would be a very welcome addition of my gazillion brushes. I have actually been picking up pretty much everything I feature on my Wishlist Wednesday posts, so I expect to be picking up a Zoeva set in the very near future.

I hope you liked this quick Wishlist Wednesday post featuring some really pretty Zoeva Brush Sets. Do let me know which set you would go for. Speak soon, Tanzina x

Wishlist Wednesday #3 – Escentric Molecules & Tangle Teezer

Hi loves, welcome back to my beauty blog. For what feels like the longest time, it has become a bit of a life/wedding blog and although this will continue for a while, that doesn’t mean that beauty has been forgotten about. So if you are just here for the beauty aspect, welcome to my first beauty blog post of 2017. This one is a simple Wishlist Wednesday one, of a couple of things that have really caught my eye.

Usually Wishlist Wednesday is supposed to be reserved for one item/one brand but since it is me who is making up the rules, I guess I can break them right? Today I am catching up with all the blogs I follow after MONTHS – and an item I have been coveting keeps appearing over and over again. This is none other than Escentric Molecules – Molecule 01 perfume. I have been hearing about this magic in a bottle perfume for years now, no exaggeration, and I don’t really know why I haven’t picked it up yet. If you don’t know about this perfume and have been living under a rock, Molecule 01 is ‘a scent that has a subtle, velvety, woody note which will meld with your natural pheromones, vanish, then re-surface after some time, making it totally individual and personalised to the wearer.’ I need to make this mine in the very near future, it sounds right up my street. As we speak, I have just read another blog post about this perfume, this one by Pixiwoo (read here). Now I really really really want need it. You can grab it too from just  £27.00, pick it up here.

The second item that caught my attention was a product that also quickly went from the ‘want’ category to the ‘need’ category. I have a Tangle Teezer style of hair brush that I use every day and like, but I have never tried an original Tangle Teezer and I think it is about time that I did. I spotted the ‘Tangle Teezer Original Prepare & Perfect‘ gift set over on the Tangle Teezer website and quickly decided it was crucial to my general well being and happiness. This little bundle contains the original award winning Tangle Teezer, coupled with Blow-Styling Tool brush. I haven’t quite found the perfect blow drying brush yet so I am hoping this might do the trick for me. I’ve just started using my new Parlux Powerlight 385 hair dryer so if I find the perfect brush to go with it, I’ll have perfect silky shiny locks in no time. See how I justify things? I will definitely be cementing this into my wish list for sure. You can pick up the Salon Elite version here for £19.90 with free P&P OR the Original version here for £25 with free P&P. I think I want the original version.

Note for Husband: As you know my birthday is coming up, these will be greatly appreciated. Mind you, the chance of him reading my blog is so slim, I am more likely to be gifted these by the tooth fairy than him! Sorry bank account, you might have to foot this bill.

Do let me know if you have anything on your wishlist that you think I might like. I’m always looking for new ways to fritter away my money. But just remember, the items mentioned in this post are essentials, not frivolous wants. So I’ll keep telling myself. Speak soon, Tanzina x
