Event: Eylure Fleur Lashes #lashdeforce

It has been forever and a day since I done an event post, since moving out of London I tend to not go to many PR events any more. However when I heard that Fleur De Force had collaborated with Eylure, I knew I had to pop along to the launch and see the new lashes that were coming out. As you may know, I am already an Eylure fan, so I was really interested to see the new #lashdeforce offerings. I thought today I would give you a little peek of the event and Eylure Fleur lashes.

Eylure Fleur Lashes #lashdeforce

The event itself was pretty stunning, the décor very whimsical and very Fleur. I have been watching Fleur’s YouTube channel for years now and it was really lovely to meet her in person. She was very welcoming and look absolutely stunning, even prettier than in the videos. With YouTube being such a huge platform and YouTubers amassing such a huge following, it is really easy to let it get to your head but she was very humble and lovely.

Fleur & Fabulous

I pottered around the room and took a few snaps of the lashes, there are 4 styles that are being released. The most dramatic style in the range is called Fleur & Fabulous. It is the perfect night out style for someone who doesn’t like too much drama but wants to add some emphasis to their eyes. You can pick this up [here] from Boots for £5.95

Simply Fleur

Simply Fleur

Simply Fleur

Next we have Simply Fleur, this is most natural style from the collection, it is very light and petite and the type of lashes you could get away with calling your own. I think I would pair these with the no eyeliner makeup looks, as the lash band so undetectable, it would blend in with my natural lashes seamlessly. You can pick this style up [here] for £5.95

 Couture Fleur

A lash collection can’t be complete without individual lashes and I really want to get my hands on Fleurs take on them. She has come up with a set called Couture Fleur, which are knot-free individual lashes with tapered tips to help blend in with your natural lashes. What I find annoying about individual lashes is that they usually have one row of long, one row of medium and one row of short. I know that I won’t make use of all the long ones so it puts me off buying individuals. However this set has two rows of medium and the rest are a mix of long and short which is the perfect ratio for me. They also come with 2-3 day glue, which is understandably stronger than the normal Eylure glue and they also come with a special oil based lash remover so ensure your own lashes aren’t damaged. You can pick this up [here] for £6.95

Finally, I have saved my favourite till last, the Fleur Loves set. This is such a pretty ¾ length set, which looks so natural when you put them on. They are so easy to apply and really blend in with your natural lashes. The style is slightly messy making them look more realistic, with a flare at the end to add some drama to the look. The ends of the lashes are tapered to look even more natural and they feel so light when worn that you sometimes forget you are wearing lashes. As they are ¾ lashes, they are much easier to apply and you don’t need to trim them to make them fit, meaning they are perfect for both lash pros and lash newbies. I know I will definitely be picking up more of these. You can pick this style up [here] for £5.25

The lashes are now in Boots stores nationwide and online.

I absolutely love the Eylure Fleur lashes collection or #lashdeforce as they are otherwise known, it is right up my street as I really do like the natural with an edge of drama look. I am tempted to stock up on the Fleur Loves sets as I am worried everyone will fall in love with them like I have and I will never be able to get a set when I really need it. I will definitely be creating looks with these lashes, so I will share them with you all soon. I hope you liked the sneak peek of the event, which style is your favourite? Tanzina x

Buy: Anastasia Shadow Couture World Traveler

Hi loves, super quick post today which I didn’t even know I was going to create! Today the Anastasia Shadow Couture World Traveler is released in the UK, and I had to bring it to your attention before it sold out. These palettes fly off the shelf, I’ve just picked mine up and I didn’t want you to miss your opportunity to pick one up.

Obviously I haven’t tried the palette yet so I can’t do a review, but the palette contains some of their much loved shades from other collections. I can already spot Morocco, the most beautiful warm orange toned brown and Noir, the truest black eye shadow I have. For some reason, the price has also dropped for these palettes, this one is priced at £24/£23, which I think is a bit of steal for such a coveted palette.

This is what the brand have to say about the palette:
Anastasia’s palettes are out of this world and the Shadow Couture World Traveler collection is inspired by the brilliant shades associated with the diverse scenery and cultures found throughout the globe. Ideal for injecting some backstage drama to your everyday, we love the array of daring yet wearable shadows in velvety matte and eye-catching metallic finishes… not to mention the typically show-stopping packaging. Slim enough to slip in a clutch bag, this is ideal for make up updates on the move, helping you to make the transition from desk to dinner to dance-floor with little more than a quick smudge of eye-enhancing smoulder.

The palette includes:

Soft Peach’ – a neutral, flesh-toned being with a matte finish

Heirloom’ – a shimmering aubergine hue with a satin finish
Bellini’ – a sophisticated gold-toned peach (satin)
Pink Champagne’ – a cool, glimmering mauve with a metallic finish
Chic’ – a sophisticated grey-taupe (satin)
Spoiled’ – a gold-flecked peach (satin)
Fudge’ – a rich chocolate brown (matte)
Azure’ – a vibrant, Mediterranean blue (satin)
Intense Gaze’ – a warm, bronzed pink with a satin finish

I picked this up from Cult Beauty this morning but it sold out in record time. However you can pick it up here for £23.00

Also, Eid Mubarak to everyone who is celebrating today and tomorrow. Hope you have an amazing day. I have told myself this is my Eid present, just to ease the guilt a bit. Although I have to admit, at £24.00 I don’t really feel guilty! Speak soon, Tanzina x

Cult Beauty Box by Caroline Hirons.

Hi loves, I thought I would share with you all something that has caught my eyes recently, something that has plonked itself right in to my wish list. I am talking of course about The Cult Beauty Box by Caroline Hirons. It is yet to be released but I am already dying to know just what it contains!

The Cult Beauty Box by Caroline Hirons

Now I am not a beauty box person any more, I used to be, but after trialling different types of boxes for month I quickly become bored of them and found them not worth the subscription. Also, some of the samples were just ridiculous so I kind of lost my faith in them. Every now and then bloggers or stores come out with their own limited edition one-off box and I have to admit each time my intrigue is sparked. That being said, I have not yet taken the plunge and sampled one of those boxes yet.

However whilst watching Caroline’s YouTube channel I was made aware she has collaborated with Cult Beauty to come up with her own, hefty beauty box. To me, Caroline comes across as someone who is very honest about her thoughts and therefore someone I feel like I can trust when it comes to recommendations. This makes me wants to really try this box out, so I thought I would bring it your attention so you could get tempted as well.

I have no idea how much it will retail for, what is in it or when it is released but I have signed up on the wait list and am patiently waiting that email to say I can purchase it. You can sign up here.

Japonesque at QVC

Hi loves, a quick post today. I thought I would make you all aware of an exciting launch that is happening tomorrow. Japonesque is coming to QVC! I have been an avid lover of QVC as you all know by now and when I heard that one of my favourite brands, Japonesque, was launching on QVC I knew I had to share it with you all. Japonesque at QVC?! I am very pleasently surprised.

Japonesque at QVC

Japonesque is a brand that I spoke about back when I first started blogging and it is really nice to see just how much they have developed as a brand. Way back then, they only had makeup tools whereas now they even have their own makeup line! That being said they haven’t lost their determination is creating new innovative tools. This can be seen reflected in their new 150 Degree Brush set (below). How cool do these ergonomic brushes look?!

Japonesque - 150 Brush Set- 5 Brushes for every need (contour, foundation, eye, crease, liner) £49.00

I thought I would quickly share some pictures of the upcoming launch with you before I get my hands on the collection and do some in depth reviews on the products. Just look at that pretty packaging – the packaging for the colour cosmetics range are individually hand crafted and no one design is the same!

What have you got your eye on? I love the look of the brush set and I really do need to find a new lash curler so the Japonesque Power Curl Eye Lash Curler looks right up my street. Keep an eye on QVC to make sure you don’t miss the launch! Tanzina x

Too Faced Melted Metallic Lipstick

Too Faced is a brand that always catches my attention, and there is always a product or two from their itinerary that I am lusting over. Recently I had a peek at their Summer 2015 collection which consisted of gorgeous Metallic Liquified lipsticks, bronzers, Selfie powders and a beautiful Sugar Pop Eye Shadow palette which I was just drooling over. Today I managed to get my hands on some of the Melted Metallic Liquified Lipsticks so I thought I would share my thoughts and swatches with you all.

I really enjoy using the original Too Faced Melted Lipsticks, Melted Ruby is my favourite, so I was really intrigued to see how the Melted Metallic collection would translate and whether I would like them just as much. I’ve been playing with these for a couple of weeks now just to get a good feel of how they wear. I find that I prefer to wear them over a lip liner although in the swatches I wore them bare just so you get a better idea of how they look like. They are not as opaque as the original formula but I prefer that for the spring/summer season as they are really easy to slip on over the lips and head out. The issue with opaque products is that you have to be a lot more precise and careful with application. As it is a glossy formula and not a matte one, they last about 3-4 hours however that is fine with me because you can just top it up. The consistency is really smooth and easy to apply and not sticky at all. Some shades are more opaque than others but more on that coming up. These don’t boast longevity like the original formula does but that is understandable as these are a lot glossier whereas the original formula is more of a cream texture.

I’ve got my hands on four of the shades: Peony, Debutante, Tu-Tu and Macaron. Let me quickly talk you through the shades.

Melted Metallic Peony

Melted Metallic Peony

First up is Metallic Peony, which translates as a light pink of my skin tone. It has a frosty metallic finish to it but due to the fine gold shimmer in the product it doesn’t look too cool on me. I struggle to wear light pinks but I think with a warm lip liner I could pull this off comfortably. It’s quite opaque and like the others, very comfortable to wear.

Melted Metallic Debutante

Melted Metallic Debutante

Next we have Metallic Debutante. This is a warm coral pink shade with a lot of gold shimmer. The opacity isn’t as strong as the others and I find this wears better with a nude lip liner underneath so that it is applied evenly. However that being said I think this is one of my favourite shades as I really like the metallic gold finish it creates and how it looks on my skin tone.

Melted Metallic Tutu

Melted Metallic Tutu

Metallic Tu-Tu is a medium pink coral that definitely translates more pink on my skin tone compared to Debutante. It is less metallic and pearlier so perfect for those who are a bit shy of shimmer but want to ease themselves into wearing it. As with the others this has a glossy finish.

Melted Metallic Macaron

Melted Metallic Macaron

Last but not least, my favourite of the lot, Metallic Macaron. This is a gorgeous bold fuschia shade that really compliments my warm colouring. It has subtle gold shimmer and warm undertones and it does apply quite opaque. The finish is glossy and it lasts about 4 hours before needing to be topped up. I think it would wear better with a fuschia lip liner underneath but I am yet to try that.

These will be launching April/May and will be retailing for £18.00. At that price it isn’t the cheapest lip product I have come across but as a little goes a long way and how unique the shade and product is, I do think it is worth it if you find a colour you love. You can now pick these up here from the US site which has now started shipping to the UK!

I hope you like today’s post and also the swatches. I thought it would be nice to see the colours on my lips rather than just a wrist swatch. Let me know your thoughts! Tanzina x
