Hi loves, I am heading to Bangladesh this month, and I wanted to share some of my packing with you. I would share the makeup I am taking with me, but the list is far too long to try and fit into a blog post. I will be seen as a new bride when I go to Bangladesh to visit my family and my in laws family, meaning there will be lots of dinner parties and events to attend. I thought I would share my holiday skin care with you all, as skin care is so essential and even more so when you are in a foreign environment that your skin is unaccustomed to.
I’m going to whizz through this as I am taking quite a lot of skin care with me, I think I am taking quite a lot of everything with me! I am allowed to take 40KGs with me, but I am a little concerned as to whether I will go way over my limit. Okay back to skin care, let’s start off with the basics.
Face Oil – Triology Rose Hip Oil
Some of you guys may know that I am crazy about face oils, I’ve been using them for over a year now and I think my skin has transformed with that extra kick of moisture. I’ve been using Sunday Riley oils and although they are super effective, they are also super pricey, and I wanted to try affordable brands and see how they compare. I’ve been using a sample of Trilogy Rosehip oil and my skin has been loving it, and for once, my husband doesn’t complain about the scent of my oils every night! Trilogy kindly gifted me a full size to test out so I’m taking it along with me to get a good feel of it. It is their best seller and my experience has been really good so far, so I have high hopes for it. You can pick it up [here] for £19.50
Day Moisturiser – Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Face Cream
This is a completely new moisturiser to me, so I guess it is a bit of a gamble for me to take it along to Bangladesh. However I have heard great things about it, and my skin didn’t react when I tried it for the first time. It contains Rosapene™, manuka honey, lavender and is an award winning product. I am so excited to try it out will do a review once I return.
You can pick it up [here] for £25.50
Night Moisturiser – Trilogy Rosapene Night Cream
Another Triology product, I promise this isn’t a sponsored post. I was gifted a few products from Trilogy literally the day I was going to purchase the items myself, so I am going to take the products along with me to truly test them out. This promises brighter, revitalised skin and comes with great reviews, so again I am excited to try this and report back to you all.
You can pick it up [here] for £29.50
Eye Cream – Keihls Avocado Eye Cream
I picked this little beauty up in the Black Friday sales, and boy am I glad I did. It is ultra-rich, melts beautifully into my skin and really helps my thirsty under eyes. It’s not a cult favourite for no reason, it really is special. If you want a full review on this let me know and I will report back.
You can pick it up [here] for £22.50
Lip Balm – Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream
This can’t be a surprise to my regular readers, I have been raving about 8 Hour cream for years now. This will of course accompany me on my trip abroad. I have written a full review on it before which you can read [here].
You can pick it up [here] for £13.95
Now on to makeup removal, I know I needed to take a few options with me, firstly to help remove the makeup from all the events I attend and also to help my skin get rid of any pollution remnants that may cling to it. Here are the products I am packing:
Cleansing Balm – Sunday Riley Blue Moon Cleansing Balm
Ah, finally a Sunday Riley product. This is one I am trying to use up. It is really rich and gets rid of makeup well, and it has exfoliating bits which gently buff the skin. I’ve been using it for a while now and have had good results, so I will be packing it into my suitcase.
You can pick it up [here] for £46.00
Micellar Water – Bioderma Micellar Water
You must know that this was going to come with me. I’ve been using this for about 7 years now, and it goes everywhere with me. I’ve talked about it a few times on here so I thought I’d link the posts below:
You can pick it up [here] for £10.80
L’Oreal Paris Micellar Bi-Phase Water
This is a new find for me, and a new love. I’ve been using Boots Botanics Waterproof Eye Makeup remover for years now, and since I tried this beauty, the Botanic bi-phase remover has been retired from my collection. This is gentle but so effective. I also tried the Garnier version, but this one is much better!
You can pick it up [here] for £5.99
I will be honest, I still have not gotten into the habit of wearing SPF every day. Maybe I should make that a new year’s resolution as I love to complain about how my face seems to be ageing. I don’t think I will be taking SPF for my body, as Bangladesh is a fairly modest clothing company, and I will be indoors too much to worry about getting burnt.
Face SPF – Bioderma Photoderm Aquafluide SPF50+
This is my favourite face SPF. At factor 50, you’re really not playing around. I have always had a problem with SPFs leaving a white cast on my face after application which I desperately hate. This product never gives me any issues.
You can pick it up [here] for £13.10
Finally, face masks. This was a dangerous category, it is so easy to get carried away and take every mask in my collection. I really had to strip it back, and opt for one moisturising mask and one clearing, unclogging mask. My skin needs moisture and sometimes and intense dose so I love moisture masks. However I know my skin may get congested in the humidity of Bangladesh, so I also needed something that would strip my skin of all dirt and impurities. I think I’ll do a post on my favourite masks next month, so keep an eye out for that.
Moisture Mask – Bioderma Hydrabio Mask
I’ve been using this mask for years. It is one I rediscovered recently, after forgetting about it and I am so glad I came across it again. I slather it over my face and once I remove it, I am left with soft hydrated skin. It is one I turn to before special days/events. Sometimes I even fall asleep with it on.
You can pick it up [here] for £15.00
Glow Mask – The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask
There has been a huge hype around this mask, and well deserved in my opinion. It leaves my skin feeling so clean, as if it has drawn out all the imourities and got rid of them. I love a clay based mask, and I love how this dries on my skin and makes it tingle. Upon removing it, my skin feels silky and just fresh.
You can pick it up [here] for £17.00
And that is it for my holiday skincare, a little more generous than the average holiday skincare packing – but I am going away for three weeks to a country where none of these products will be available! I genuinely believe the amount of products are completely justified but I am sure there are many that will disagree. Minimal packing is really not my area of expertise. I hope you liked a peek into my holiday skincare, and of course if you have any questions or would like indepth reviews, just let me know. Tanzina x
