Sleek Cream Contour Kit Review

Hi loves, I am back to reality from my post-engagement bubble and ready to share some beauty bits that I have been loving. Today I want to talk to you about Sleek Cream Contour Kit in Medium, as it is a palette I have been thoroughly testing out in the last couple of months. Sleek Makeup provided me with my very first contour product, their powder contour kit, way back when I didn’t even know what contouring was! I just remember looking for a matte bronzer in Superdrug and falling in love with Sleek’s offering. It is no surprise that I have fallen for the cream version equally as much.

The Sleek Cream Contour Kits come in Light, Medium and Dark. My skin tone is warm and tan, I think I’m a MAC 35-40 but I’m not 100% sure as I haven’t ever bought a MAC foundation, but for shade guidance I’m SB10 in Illamasqua Skin Base. For my skin tone, the Sleek Cream Contour Kit Medium was a perfect match. Let’s talk packaging. This product comes in a sturdy and slim palette, which also houses a useful large mirror. Inside you have 6 shades, which are a mix of highlighting and contouring shades. I love how compact this kit is, it is perfect for keeping in your daily stash or for travelling with.

Although powder contour shades are still hugely popular, I do find that cream products blend out a little better and do look more natural and skin like. I found the consistency of these shades to be perfect, very smooth and velvety and a dream to blend. It is so important to get the consistency just right, too soft and it messes up easily and smears, and too hard and it doesn’t blend as it should. I am going to make quite a bold statement, the Sleek Cream Contour has the very best consistency I have found in ANY cream contour product I have used, it just blends beautifully. One of the best things about this product is that it sits well on top of other product, it is so annoying when you layer products and it disturb your perfectly applied foundation/concealer. This doesn’t disturb anything.

I also love the shade selection in the palette, I love to mix them up and create a gradient contour, I love to mix the highlighting shades together too, and I find the shades to be perfect for my skin tone. I think the other two palettes will be just as perfect for lighter and deeper skin tones to mine.

I think you can see where I am going with this Sleek Cream Contour Kit review, I love the new(ish) kit and this nifty little palette has replaced all my other cream contour products. I am still reaching for the powder contour products for when I am creating my ‘completely airbrushed’ look but for most days this kit is more than enough. I thought I would take some pictures for you guys to see this kit in action, without any other contour product. I’ll be honest, I kind of love how this look turned out. I also have another new Sleek product on, my lip colour is the new Sleek Matte Me in Bittersweet (review coming up).

It retails for £10.99 which I think is ridiculously affordable considering I’ve paid for over £20 for just one shade with other brands. This kit is now in store where they stock Sleek, or you can pick it up here.

I hope you liked my Sleek Cream Contour Kit review, I think it turned out to be one of those, I love this product full stop kind of reviews. But I really really do. I will be using it for more makeup looks and tutorials so don’t be surprised if this keeps popping up over here! Let me know what contour products you like, and if you’ll be picking this up. Speak soon, Tanzina
