I want to quickly share with you today a new scent that has come my way. I don’t really talk about celebrity perfumes/EDTs, I feel like the majority of the time they are gimmicky and not long lasting, however there is one celebrity whose scents I have always bought and always have in my collection. Britney Spears fragrances are the no.1 best celebrity perfumes in my opinion, and ever since my first Fantasy Eau De Toilette way back when I was 15, I’ve always had a bottle at hand in my perfume collection. Oh my god, I have just realised I have been loving her perfumes for over 10 years! Today I have the latest edition to the Fantasy line, the Britney Spears Maui Eau De Toilette to share with you.
Let’s address the obvious, the packaging isn’t the most luxurious style nor is it elegant. I personally actually really like the original Fantasy packaging, but this one not so much. However once you get past that initial barrier, the perfume itself is rather special. It’s a true summer scent, inspired by Britney’s love of Hawaii (hence the prints on the bottle).
It’s a very fruity scent, and one I am actually enjoying. Sometimes I am a little bit of a snob when it comes to perfumes, but I can’t deny that I do really like this one. Fruity scents don’t always work for me, they can sometimes be a little too citrusy for me which I hate but this doesn’t have any trace of that. It’s a warm fragrance, and quite tropical as well with hints of vanilla in it to get it some depth. I would say try this out if you get a chance, I believe they are in store now, and I think you would be pleasantly surprised.
This might not be the prettiest bottle in the perfume collection, but it is definitely one I will be reaching for quite often in the coming few months. Also, at £40 for 100ml, it is one I won’t feel guilty over when I get a little spritz happy and spray generously. If I could sum this perfume up in a scenario, I would say it reminds me of a summer day, somewhere abroad in a really nice beach, where I am lying back on the sand with this perfume in my beach bag. Wishful thinking indeed as I don’t think I’ll be going on a holiday this year!
If you’d like to pick up this fragrance, it is now out in stores or you can pick up here online – link.
