Sleek A New Day Eyeshadow Palette Review

Sleek palettes need no introduction, you’d have to be living under a rock to not know about these highly pigmented and affordable eyeshadow palettes. Recently they have listened to the masses, and launched TWO neutral shadow palettes with shades that are wearable every single day. I thought I would do a quick Sleek A New Day eyeshadow palette review and swatch fest for those interested in how this palette performs.

I promise to make this a quick one, as I do have a habit of rambling. The packaging for this palette is the traditional black Sleek palette packaging, plastic and very sturdy and travel friendly. It has a huge mirror on one side of the palette and it comes with a sponge brush. The brush I wouldn’t really use much for shadow application, however I will have to say it works quite well for inner shadow highlight. The palette has 12 colours, the same as the usual Sleek palettes, and this particular one has 4 matte shade and 8 shimmery shades.

The colour are really pigmented and easy to mix, I’ve applied then without primer, with primer they are a lot more intense. There are a couple that fail to hit the spot, and aren’t as pigmented as the rest, but the palette overall makes up for it. My favourites are Sun is Shining, which reminds me of sunshine, Be Happy which is the perfect under brow highlight and blending shade for me, Don’t Worry which is just beautiful and reminds me of Urban Decay Smog and Carpe Diem which I am in love with. Carpe Diem is a stunning shade, it’s like a medium brown/mauve with a rosy undertone to it and it reminds me a lot of my much loved Urban Decay Nooner eyeshadow that can only be found in the Naked 3 palette.

I love that Sleek have incorporated a matte highlight shade, this makes all the difference, if I was to travel with this palette I will no longer need to carry a separate matte highlight shade to use under the brow.

As you can tell from the name this palette is aimed for the day, they have another palette for more evening looks (All Night Long), I shall do a review on that palette soon so make sure you follow me on Bloglovin to make sure you don’t miss that. This palette is now out in store, and you can pick it up here for £7.99. I believe Boots are currently doing a deal where you can get two products for £10, I’d pick up both palettes if I didn’t have them already!

I hope you liked my Sleek A New Day eyeshadow palette review, if you would like me to create a makeup look please let me know and I will get that done for you. Speak soon, Tanzina x
