I recently reviewed the Sleek A New Day Eyeshadow Palette (here), so it is only fair that I share it’s counterpart with you all today. I wanted to create a Sleek All Night Long Eyeshadow Palette review as this palette is such a perfect evening makeup find, and so affordable for what it is, it would be a bit of an injustice not to share with you all.
The palette is housed in the traditional Sleek packaging that we are used to, a black sturdy palette with a large mirror on the inside to help with application. It has 12 shades, consisting of 2 mattes and 10 shimmery shades. I could tell straight away that this palette was going to be the stronger of the two when it came to pigmentation and colour pay off as it had darker colours which tend to perform slightly better. I love how although this is an ‘all night long’ it hasn’t been crammed with blacks and greys, instead there are deep warm coppery shades and cool shimmery taupe brows which would flatter a whole range of skin tones.
Again with this palette there is a wearable under brow highlight shade, Mai Tai, which is perfect for blending away harsh edges with as well. The shimmery shades especially are very buttery and easy to blend and buff away should you wish to. They apply like a dream and there is minimal fall out which is always ideal when you are working with darker shades. With the mattes there were a little more fall out, but I was expecting that as my £40+ palettes do the exact same. There are one or two that aren’t as pigmented as you’d like them to be, but the rest make up for it.
My favourites shades are Manhattan, Cosmopolitan and Mai Tai
You can pick this up here or in Boots or Superdrug for £7.99. Boots currently (at time of publishing) have a deal on where you can get 2 products for £10, so you could pick up both palettes for a tenner!
Of the two palettes, A New Day Eyeshadow Palette just pips it to the post for me as I am a huge fan of matte shades and that palette has more BUT as I love a bold warm smokey look, this palette will get a lot of love as it is perfect for creating that. However I would recommend having both in your collection, as then you’ve got all bases covered. Let me know if you would like to create a look with this palette and I’ll try do that for you.
