When I think of the brand Laura Geller, I think of baked products. You know, those pretty domed eyeshadows with different colours running through them in a marble effect? Although they were very pretty to look at, I lost fascination after a while and the products were pushed to the back of the drawers for me. That is until Cult Beauty started stocking them and I realised this brand has heaps more to offer. I’ve decided to create a soft wearable Laura Geller makeup look for you today with a quick run through of some of their products I have snatched up.
The look I went for was a soft romantic look with rosy pink tones through out. I have to admit I have fallen into the matte shadow rut, I can’t seem to create any looks without using mainly matte shades so I was really determined to break this habit with this look. I’ll quickly run you through the eye makeup products I used below but I just wanted to talk about two Laura Geller products that really made this look. Firstly the gorgeous The Wearables 5 Eye Shadow palette, this is a really densly pigmented palette that isn’t quite neutral but still very wearable during both the day and the evening. The colour pay off is amazing, with the burgundy shade being my favoruite as I love a warm cranberry shade. The palette is also very slim so you can easily slip it into your hand bag should you wish to. The second product that really helped create this look is the amazing Eye Calligraphy Trio. This is perfect for those wanting to master different eyeliner techniques, or even for pros to create funky designs. There are 3 eye liners in the set, a really thin nib called Fine Tip, a normal sized every day nib called the Classic Tip and a Slanted Tip which is perfect for helping you shape the perfect winged liner as the slant does the hard work for you. A went for a combination of the slanted for a slight wing and the thin to get into the inner corners effortlessly.
The eyeshadow palette retails for £28 and the eye liner set retails for £27 for three eyeliners.

For the face and lip makeup I went for pink hues with the blusher and lip, but my favourite part was most definitely the highlighter. I managed to get hold of the oh so coveted Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Gilded Honey (wow that is a long name!). I wanted this for so long and when it popped up on the Cult Beauty website I had to add it to my basket straight away. Good thing that I did as it was sold out minutes after I bought it. It was a close call, my heart was racing. This is a gorgeous golden highlighter with a yellow sheen meaning it really sets off warmer skin tones really well. When you swatch it, the finish looks almost metallic but once applied it is such a pretty glow. It definitely has a cult status in the beauty community and I think it may be the pièce de résistance in Laura Geller’s beauty stash – well, in my humble opinion! It is currently sold out on Cult Beauty but you can either join the waitlist here, or if you are of lighter skin tone try the Ballerina shade here. The product retails for £21.00.
- Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm
- Illamasqua Skin Base in SB10
- Anastasia Concealer in 2.5
- Tarte 12 Hour Clay Blusher in Blissful

I hope you liked my Laura Geller makeup look, normally I do a lengthy talk through of my makeup looks but today I wanted the focus to be on the new products I have from Laura Geller. My stand out favourite is most definitely the Gilded Honey highlighter, it is so gorgeous and really compliments my skintone. If you are of olive skin tone and up, I highly recommend giving it a try. I will catch up with you soon with some safari pictures in the next post! Tanzina x
