I’ve been wearing false lashes since I was 17 years old, not on a daily basis of course, but to parties and weddings etc. I go through phases of wearing them every few weeks, to wearing them once every six months. I remember when I first went shopping for false lashes in the aisles of Superdrug and even the first false lash set I picked up. It was from Eylure and it was one of those natural looking pairs. Fast forward SEVEN years and I have used so many different brands but Eylure remain one of my favourites. Today I wanted to discuss with you a recent collaboration between Eylure and Naomi Giannopoulos aka Vegas Nay.
When I saw that the Eylure Vegas Nay lashes had been released over in the States, I was dying to get my hands on them. So many YouTube and IG stars do collaborations with different brands, but because Eylure was already one of my favourite brands I knew this collection was going to be something special. Today I wanted to do a little overview of all the lash styles the collection offer, as they have finally landed in the UK in Superdrug stores.
Let’s start with the style that caught my attention first, Shiny Star. I love the glamour and the flirty style of these lashes, as they are quite voluminous but not too heavy. It sits on a light band and flares out on the outer V of the eye, which is a style I really like. I can already tell I will get a lot of wear out of this style as it is a perfect in between lash, it isn’t too light to not be effective and not too heavy as to be too much. Perfect for day time wear when you want a pinch of drama. I created a makeup look recently wearing Shiny Star false lashes, you can read about it and see more pictures here. You can buy the lashes here for £6.95.
Next we have individual lashes, in the style Pretty Perfect. I’ve actually been meaning to try individual lashes for the longest time ever so I am really excited to try these. My reason for wanting to try individuals is that when/if I get married, I know I will cry lots and I don’t really fancy seeing my strip false lashes peeling off in the wedding pictures. Really not flattering. So I definitely need to try these out and see if they would do the job. The individual lashes in this set come in 3 sizes: Long, Medium and Short. They also come with a special lash glue which is clear and a Pro Lash Remover which I am really intrigued about. You can pick these up here for £7.95.
Moving on to grandeur lashes, we have a dramatic lash design in style Grand Glamour. This is definitely a heavy lash design, perfect for when you want dramatic bold eyes. I think this will pair very well with the makeup looks I create for my Instagram page, as they do call for bold eyes and heavy lashes. It is also great for night out/evening looks. You can pick this style up here for £7.95.
Next we have some more natural styles in Easy Elegance. I think this lash style will be my most used style as I love that it has a flair at the end but is quite light as well. It sits on an invisible band meaning it looks very natural and you can even wear it without liner. I love styles like these as I like wearing it out on date nights where you don’t want to look like you made too much effort to go to the restaurant but still want something to pull your look together. It reminds me of the Ardell 117 lash and the Ardell wispy lashes which I wear most often. You can pick this one up here for £5.95.
Finally we have Classic Charm. This style is a lot more natural compared to the rest and definitely one for someone who wants very subtle definition or someone who is a newbie to the false lashes game. The lashes sit lightly on a thin band, and are very fine meaning it is very light and easy to wear. Lashes can sometime feel heavy to those not accustomed to them so this is a great way to get introduced. I like a little more definition so this isn’t a style I would wear often so I will pass it over to my sister who likes very subtle makeup. If this is your kind of style, you can pick this up here for £5.95.
I’m really glad that the Eylure Vegas Nay lashes have been introduced to the UK, and I can see them being very popular, just like the Eylure Girls Aloud lashes were back in the days (Nadine’s ones were my favourite!) I hope you liked my overview of the styles, be sure you let me which ones were your favourites. Tanzina x
