Hi loves! Hope your well. Today I have a post for you that I have been waiting ages to talk about.. I thought the day would never come! I’m talking about the arrival of tarte (they like to be spelt without a capital T) to our UK shores, an event I have eagerly waited on for oh so long. You know how I do like to get dramatic on launches/products that I feel passionate about and this launch is definitely one of those that gets me all jittery. I cannot wait to try the products.
Okay, okay before I get too ahead of myself.. for those of you who don’t know (where have you been hiding?!), the lovely people over at QVC have acquired exclusivity of Tarte here in the UK and very very soon we UK dwellers will be able to get our hands on the goodies without having to pay for a flight to the US or extortionate shipping fees. I have to admit I was very close to opting for one of those two options. As of the 28th of March 2014, Tarte/tarte will be available on QVC to buy on the channel or online. Now for those of you who have been living under a very very big rock, Tarte is a cult brand whose philosophy is all about natural, nasties-free makeup/skin care products that are good for you as well as amazing quality. When I say no nasties I mean ‘no nasties such as parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan, and gluten found in any of the formulations.’ On top of that, the products are cruelty free meaning it’s all round feel good products.
I thought I would share with you my top three picks. Initially I believe 11 products will be introduced but that is bound to grow and grow. I’ve stalked US websites forever looking at Tarte products so I do have an idea of what I would like to try but choosing three isn’t as easy as it sounds. Let’s start with the first one.. now this is a little bit of an obvious choice, I really want to try an Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush. Tarte say, ‘This 12-hour blush benefits all skin types for a fade-free, flawless finish in universally flattering shades to suit a variety of skin tone.’ I’ve heard so much about this product, it’s consistency, colour pay off and lasting power that now I am just itching to get my hands on this.
In the recent years I’ve become more and more of a fan of lip products, so I’ve now got my eyes on the Amazonian Butter Lipsticks, a buttery lipstick trio that looks perfect for an easy spring/summer lip. These are described as ‘a trio of semi-gloss lipsticks provides a splash of moisture and skin nourishing ingredients in shades that complement and brighten, giving you the perfect pout‘. I also love the look of the packaging, Tarte have some gorgeous packaging and the trio come in colourful tubes.
For my third and final pick, my mind is battling between two products. Mascara or Treatment Oil.. that is such a hard decision. I’ve had my eyes on the Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara for a while, the packaging seems so cool and I’ve heard lots of good things however I’ve heard so much about the Tarte Maracuja Treatment Oil too and I think that might just make it into my three. Tarte say ‘This earth-prescribed treatment oil targets your individual skin concerns and delivers harmony and moisture for firmer, brighter, smoother looking skin.’ I definitely could do with a little bit more brightening and I’ve heard so many good things about this product that now I am just itching to try.
There are lots more goodies coming from Tarte, they’ve got a really good selection of products they’ve picked for initial sale. I can’t wait to get my hands on some of the products, I’ve also got my eyes on the Eye Treatment, the 8 Shadow palette.. basically all of it. Are you as excited as I am? If so make sure you keep your eyes open on the 28th of March when Tarte finally is up for sale on QVC. I can’t wait to get my mitts on the goodies and review and create looks for you all. Tanzina x
