The sun is finally shining super bright in the UK, and tans are starting to develop. I however remain slightly glum as my holiday keeps being postponed and then postponed again. I, as some of you may already know, am of tanned complexion so getting a tan isn’t my list of priorities however getting glowing sun kissed skin? That’s right up my street.
I introduce you to the Caudalie Divine Legs Tinted Body Lotion. When I first got my hands on this product, I’ll admit I was very tempted to hand it over to my paler friend and get her to review it for me. I mean that way I would’ve gotten drastic before and after pictures. Google Caudalie Divine Legs online and you’ll see for yourself. This works amazing on paler skin tones, creating a gorgeous glowing tan that looks really natural and also washes off. Avoids getting your body sun damaged too as you can create the tan in the shade of your own home. But what does it do for already tan Asian skin? There wasn’t many of those reviews around so I decided that I needed to do one to fill that gap.
I applied this straight on to my freshly washed body before a day out in the park. I applied it to my arms, chest, decolletage and shoulders. I never have my legs out so it didn’t make sense to apply there. Not to say I have my chest out, I just got carried away! Even though it is named ‘Divine Legs’ its okay to apply where ever you want. The first thing I noticed is just how gorgeous it smelt. The scent lingers too so that’s a plus! It’s very light, Caudalie say it applied like ‘second skin’ and I couldn’t think of a better way to describe it really dries like your second skin though you get the added moisture. It dries in seconds and you are ready to go.
Caudalie say it helps enhance a natural tan further and I feel that is exactly what it did with me. It made my skin looking glowing, healthy and truly sun kissed. How cliche is ‘holiday in a bottle’? Well that is exactly how I want to describe it as, I had compliments on my arms as there were tiny tiny shimmer particles in the lotion that really shone in the park. The packaging too is lovely, in a glass pump which makes it easy to use. I was worried after use the bottle would be hard to hold from the greasy finish of the lotion but there was no residue from the lotion whatsoever, it really is like second skin. I can’t comment on pale skin (though there are many great reviews online) but for tanned skin I would definitely recommend this. You get your tan enhanced and looking glowy and healthy. Why can’t we add a healthy tan too just because we have a bit of colour already? I love it. You can pick it up at any Caudalie retailer and it retails for £26.00. However right now Escentual has 20% off, so it is £20.80. You can see it here.
