Hi lovelies! Today I thought I would share a make up look with you, something a little more wearable than my last one which was on speckled eyeliner. I had my eyes on a few items in my collection that I’ve been meaning to play around with and thought that it was the perfect time to. I was off shopping in Westfield for a few bits and bobs so thought I’d make a little effort and put some makeup on.
The look I went for was a glowy dewy radiant skin looking one. I played with bright colours on my cheeks and lips, and an open eyed neutral smokey look on the eyes. I filled in my brows so they were defined and framed my eye makeup well.

One of the products that was in my collection that I wanted to play with more was an eye shadow, Estee Lauder Pure Colour in ‘63 Tempting Mocha‘. It’s a shimmery grey mauve like colour with hints of lilacs and browns that I picked up a while ago. I find that with so many eye shadow palettes in my life, I sometimes neglect single pan shadows and this colour was too pretty to be neglected. I’ve now included it into my every day makeup bag and am planning to get lots more use out of it. It really is pigmented, and blends well even though it’s not one of the gelee shadows, and the light colour really opens the eyes up. You can pick it up here for £16.50. During my shopping trip I ended up picking up a gelee shadow in Cyber Silver from EL so after I’ve played around with that I’ll share my thoughts!
A new product has just landed on my desk, and I decided to put it to the test. I will definitely be doing a more in-depth review on it but the product I am talking about is the Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm which is set to be released next month. I don’t use foundation but this boasted an even toned dewy brightening finish to the skin with light moisture so I thought I’d give it a go. I LOVED the finish it gave to my skin, made it look so healthy and really glowy. I am really liking my first impressions on this product. It will launch in May for £32.
I’m really not a pouter so the fact that I’m pouting here is demonstrating pure blogging dedication.
The lipstick I wanted to make use of was MAC Impassioned, a colour which has been residing in my collection untouched for a good 3 months or so. It is such a bright almost neon pink colour, the idea of it scared me away from using it. However once I applied it, it was much more wearable than I had imagined it to be in my head. It’s definitely made me feel more bolder and I will not think twice now before I rock bright lipsticks. This retails for £14.00 here.
Overall I am really happy with how the look turned out, and I got a few compliments at the beauty counters which is always nice! I always feel better when I make more use out of my make up collection. The two stand out products for me were the lipstick and the eye shadow. I definitely will be creating a look with the Estee Lauder Gelee powder shadow I picked up and I think I may have to pick their 5 colour palette so I can create looks with just one palette and not several. Damn it, the point of this post was to make use out of my collection not expand it! What can I say, I wouldn’t be blogging if I wasn’t a slight (read: major) addict!! – until next time lovelies, take care. Tanzina x
