Hi lovelies, I can’t believe this has been sitting in my draft box since the first of April! Images and all. So without much further ado, I introduce you to the Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream.
Before we go any further can we just take a second out to admire the packaging. I love that teal turquoise packaging, very marine-esque and suits my room decor perfectly. Considering that this is also my every day night cream, I think that is more than enough reason for me to have this out on display in my bedroom!
So what is this limited edition launch about? Well, the Pro Collagen Marine Cream is actually celebrating it’s ten year anniversary (happy birthday!) and considering it is STILL a cult product that really is impressive. Every now and then new creams are introduced into the beauty market, a lot of fuss and attention is awarded to them yet after a while the fuss dies down. Only a few products stand the test of time and this is definitely one of them. A multiple award winning cream (21 awards in fact!) which is sold once every minute worldwide! Impressive credentials right?
So what makes it so special? I would definitely say the texture is a massive stand out point, its a cream and gel hybrid that sinks into the skin really well leaving it feeling moisturised yet not oily. It spreads really well and doesn’t leave the skin feeling sticky, there is no greasy residue or film of oil on the skin. There are definitely lots of anti-ageing benefits such as clinical trials stating that after just TWO weeks of use, there is up to 78% wrinkle depth reduction however I would be lying if I said that’s what catches my attention. I’m only 22 so although I’d like to take steps in preventing ageing signs, it’s not something I am too bothered about currently. What I adore about this cream is definitely the hydration factor, it really plumps up my skin and feels like it replaces the moisture I lose throughout the day.
I’ve mentioned on here previously this is my go to night cream, which I’ve been using for quite a few months. Clinical trials state that after just two weeks there is up to 45% increase in skin hydration which I honestly feel like I can relate to. When I first started using this as a night cream I was planning on using it now and again as a perk me up for my skin but now I’m hooked.
This beautiful limited edition Pro Collagen Marine Cream launched on the 1st of April and its RRP is £99. Rather pricey yes, however the 100ml of product is worth £158. Along with the cream you get the gorgeous marine blue jar which comes with an embossed lid which gives a sneaky nod to the three types of sea weed the cream contains. The jar is packaged in a dust bag and then in the decorated box. I do think that if you are going to splurge so much on a cream, it should come wrapped luxuriously and I am happy to see that Elemis noted that. I definitely will be depotting all my future jars of the cream into this anniversary jar, it’s just too pretty to be left hidden away.
You can pick up the Limited Edition jar here, or any Elemis stockists.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post and I am so sorry it’s so late! I’m just glad I bought it to your attention before it sold out. I know £99 is quite a splurge on a cream, but if you are looking to invest in skincare then this is definitely one to consider. I personally feel it’s much better to splurge on skincare than make up, and it’s better to try prevent than cure. Until next time lovelies, have a great day – Tanzina x
