MakeupAtoZ: Face of the Day

Morning lovelies, hope your okay. Today’s post is my second face of the day look featuring products used. This time my hair is less of a mess and I think I’m happier with the results compared to last time. I made the eyes slightly smokey and left the rest of the face rather natural. This time I made a concious effort to use less products than last time.. I’m not sure if I was as successful as I would’ve liked to be!

So let’s start with the products I used on my face first then move on to eyes and lips. For my base and concealer I used absolutely nothing. I suffer from under eye circles (as you can see from the pictures) and I really really wish they would just go away but alas miracles don’t happen. Ever since I purchased Bobbi Brown Colour Corrector and Creamy Concealer I have noticed I use it quite often so I’m making the concious effort to use it much less as I am beginning to rely on it too much. I know that sounds weird but I really try my best not to be too addicted to products because I want to be able to have the confidence to go without make up. Weird, I know.

For my cheeks I used to NARS Duo in Casino and Sin, which I absolutely love. Casino bronzer is great for a little contouring and Sin blush adds a lovely warm purpley pink tint of colour to my cheeks. I did only apply a little bit so it doesn’t show up too much in the pictures.

I definitely made up for the lack of face product by overdosing in eye products! I filled n my brows with the Japonesque Brow Kit which I absolutely love. I used the Naked 2 palette again for this look, I applied Verve all over my eye lid, Black Out in the crease and outside corners slightly to smoke the look out and Foxy as a matte highlight under my brow bone. For eye liner I used MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack and in the waterline I used a lovely pencil eyeliner in silver by Avon called Supershock gel eyeliner  in silver. For mascara I used Blink +Go and I really do not like it at all, it takes ages to get right without getting clumpy and I would not recommend it. But I’m tying to use it rather than waste it.

Lips were super super easy and quick. I applied Mac Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in ‘In Anticipation’ along the outline of my lips and filled the rest in with my very first Clinique Chubby Stick in ’07 Super Strawberry’. Again the Chubby Stick was a new beauty goodie and I really love it, worth my money. It goes on easily and effortlessly  is really moisturising and looks really natural. A nice break from my usual painted lips.

That is it lovelies for today’s post, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading it, If you have any posts in particular you would like to see do let me know and I shall try to make it happen for you. Hope you all have a lovely day, Tanzina x
