MakeupAtoZ NOTD: Hidden Treasure

Hi all, hope you had a great weekend! I did, as I was with my family but now I’m back to London and back to real life. In an attempt to make the day feel brighter as the weather isn’t really up to scratch, I thought I’d paint my nails in this gorgeous polish I picked up in March. I hope you like this ‘Nail of the Day’ post, and I think I might make it a habit to do more.

I don’t think I could love this nail colour any more than I already do, it’s so gorgeous and looks like metal on my nails. It’s ‘Hidden Treasure’ by Topshop and although I have never finished a whole full size bottle of nail polish before, with this colour I can see it happening. ‘Hidden Treasure’ is a dupe for Chanel Peridot, and at £6.00 it’s saved me a lot of pennies.

I love how the colour changes in different light, when I put it on last night it seemed more golden than the greeny colour it looks like in the bottle, however today in direct daylight I see more green. BUT when the sun shines, it’s back to the golden colour, so its a hard colour to get bored of quickly. The tones of green also vary, and it’s so difficult to get a picture of the polish that truly captures how it looks like in real life. I recommend swatching it next time your in Topshop (if you have access to one) as this truly was a great find! I took pictures for you with and without flash just so you can get an idea of how the polish looks in different lights.

That’s it for my Nail of the Day post, have you found a polish that your also really in love with too? Let me know so I can check it out. On a positive note, I haven’t yet bought anything beauty related in April! I’m attempting to stop buying too much beauty related items and instead save to buy MAC and NARS product as I’d like to add a bit more higher end products to my collection. I have been eyeing a Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder but at £33.50 it’s quite an investment, so I haven’t decided if I want to commit just yet! Have you been eyeing up any products at all?
